But even going by your argument, Ambedkar might have given equal status in other matters to Rajya Sabha, but he couldn’t even have dreamt that it will be peopled by the likes of Amar Singh or Sharad Yadav or Jaya Bachchan whose only claim to fame is they’re unelectable and have money to buy a seat. If the author is that much worried about the exact interpretation of Constitution, how come he doesn’t call for Uniform Civil Code or suspension of reservations which also have sound constitutional basis?
